Welcome to Charities of the Divine Mercy

We thank you for visiting the Charities of the Divine Mercy/Oeuvres de la Divine Miséricorde website. We hope that as you browse through these pages, you will keep the children of ODM in your thoughts and prayers and may even be moved to make a much needed donation.

Oeuvres de la Divine Miséricorde (Charities of the Divine Mercy) is an orphanage located in Port-au-Prince, Haiti started by Fr. Raymond Pearson and supported by foundations registered in Canada (under the name Oeuvres de la Divine Miséricorde) and in the United States (under the name Charities of the Divine Mercy). Today the orphanage and school are under the directorship of the former archbishop of Port-au-Prince, François Ligondé.

The foundation was started with the tax returns of charity-minded retired professionals in Montreal, Canada, and ALL money raised for the orphanage goes to support the children. All time given by representatives of ODM in Canada and the United States is non-compensated. The orphanage supports approximately seventy-five children ages ten months to ten years. Archbishop Ligondé, together with the Haitian staff, care for the children's medical, spiritual, social and educational needs. We invite you to browse these pages to learn news from the orphanage, news from Haiti, and see photos of the children. Please contact us if you would like further information.
